Approximately 40% of women with endometriosis have reported experiencing depression, and women with endometriosis are 2-3 times more likely to have depression compared to women without endometriosis. Endometriosis has also been linked to an increased risk of anxiety, with research finding that up to 60% of women with endometriosis experience anxiety. One study found that the presence of endometriosis was associated with a higher likelihood of depression, even after adjusting for other factors such as age, education, and income. Additionally, research has shown that women with endometriosis who have undergone surgical treatment for their condition may experience a reduction in their symptoms of depression and anxiety. Overall, the link between endometriosis and mental health is complex and requires further research to fully unde
